Why Her Noor
As a mom to three daughters, I've spent years thinking about the kind of friendships, confidence, and sense of belonging I hope they grow up with.
I wanted to create a space where Muslim girls could build meaningful friendships, discover new interests, meet inspiring role models, and feel proud of who they are. A place where they are encouraged to try new things, support one another, and grow into confident, compassionate young women.
The name Her Noor was chosen with intention. Noor means light, and we believe every girl carries a light that is uniquely her own. Through friendship, meaningful experiences, mentorship, and a supportive community, our mission is to help every girl discover that light, nurture it, and let it shine.
Her Noor brings girls together through thoughtfully curated experiences, creative workshops, volunteer opportunities, inspiring speakers, and shared moments that encourage connection, curiosity, kindness, leadership, and belonging.
My hope is that every girl who joins Her Noor leaves with lifelong friendships, greater confidence, and the belief that she can make a meaningful difference in the world.
